Amanda Nguyen serves as President & CEO of the American Distilled Spirits Alliance (ADSA), representing leading distillers in the United States on issues of tax, trade, and public health. She leads the association’s strategic engagement with Congress, regulatory agencies, and key stakeholders to advance policies that support a fair and competitive marketplace for the spirits industry.
With a background in government affairs, regulatory policy, and legal advocacy, Amanda has built a career at the intersection of policy and industry. Before joining ADSA, she was Vice President of Government Affairs & Legal at the Fragrance Creators Association, where she led advocacy efforts establishing the Congressional Fragrance Caucus, building a multi-million dollar tariff savings program, and negotiating industry-shifting legislation. She previously served as Director of Government Affairs & Legal, driving industry initiatives on sustainability and innovation.
Prior to her tenure in the fragrance industry, Amanda held roles at the Tennessee Attorney General and Reporter’s Office, the Environmental Law Institute, and the Kansas Legislative Research Department, where she worked on consumer policy, environmental law, and industry compliance. Her expertise spans a broad range of issues, including chemical policy, tobacco enforcement, and international trade. Shifting her focus to building consensus amongst beverage/alcohol stakeholders, she continues to advocate for pro-growth, science-based policies that benefit businesses and consumers alike.
A political science graduate with a legal background, Amanda is a recognized leader in public policy and industry engagement. She earned her undergraduate degree at Wichita State University, graduating summa cum laude. She continued her education at Vanderbilt University Law School. She remains active in both alumni networks and is a strong supporter of the Vietnam Society. Today, she is based in Washington, D.C., and is a recent empty nester after spending years as a single mother.
